Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria – In a bold and ambitious endeavor, 22-year-old chef Damilola Adeparusi, popularly known as Chef Dammy, has announced her plans to undertake a cooking marathon lasting 150 hours in the coming months.

The aspiring culinary prodigy made the announcement during a press conference held in Ado-Ekiti, the capital city of Ekiti state, on Friday.

During the press briefing, Chef Dammy clarified that her previous feat of completing a 120-hour cook-a-thon was not officially registered with the prestigious Guinness World Record (GWR).

However, undeterred by this, she expressed her determination to break the world record with the upcoming 150-hour cooking marathon.

Supported by stakeholders from both within and outside Ekiti state, Chef Dammy, a 300-level Mass Communication student at the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), spoke passionately about her goal and her commitment to pushing her culinary boundaries.

She expressed gratitude for the encouragement she has received from the community and expressed her determination to showcase her skills and passion for cooking on a global platform.

“I stated this earlier that I embarked on this journey to test my capability not for any GWR.. l am happy that I cooked for 120 hours. I am proud that I never gave up,” she said.
