Champions League: Benzema bags player of the season award
Real Madrid and France forward, Karim Benzema has been awarded with the Champions League player of the season.
The French international clinched the award having won the competition five times with their win in the final against Liverpool.
Benzema scored 15 goals in 12 Champions League games this season and tops the Ballon d’Or chart.
His pair Vinicius Jr, also clinched the tournament’s young player of the season with four goals and six assists.
The duo together with Real teammates, Luka Modric and goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois all made the Champions League team of the season.
