Buhari Flies Abroad Over Medical Check-up

The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari is set to depart Nigeria for London, United Kingdom on Monday, 31 October for a routine medical check-up.

The trip was announced by Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity on Monday.

Adesina noted that the president, Buhari plans to return to the country in the second week of next month, November.

Taking to his Official Twitter account, he said.

”President Buhari leaves for London October 31, 2022, for routine medical checkup. He returns to the country 2nd week of November, 2022,”

This is one of many medical emergency trips the President has taken since assuming office in 2015. Buhari was in the United Kingdom in March and July this year, 2022, all for medical purposes.

The president’s soon-to-be embarked medical trip comes shortly after he presided over an emergency meeting with security chiefs at the State House, Abuja.

He will depart Abuja after attending the Conference and Retreat for Senior Police Officers in Owerri, the Imo State capital.
