BREAKING: Ibadan North Speaker ‘Eku’, impeached over misconduct

The Ibadan North local government councilors have impeached the leader of the house, Kazeem Onatunji, along with other principal officers.

He was impeached by eight councilors today, Thursday, March 31, during a plenary session in the local government.

According to the lawmakers, Kazeem was impeached over allegations of gross misconduct, abuse of office, and high-handedness.

The representative of ward 1, Olaolu Akindele, has effective immediately, been elected and sworn in as the new Speaker and Leader of the House.
