Benue Commissioner Kidnapped By Unknown Gunmen

Chief Dennis Ekpe Ogbu, the Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development in Benue state, was abducted by gunmen on Sunday, December 4.

Ogbu was abducted together with one Honourable Agbo Ode, one of his in-laws, and the driver, at David Marks Farm, after Akpa Otobi on their journey from Otukpo to Utonkon in the state’s Ado Local Government Area.

The event happened immediately after Senator Abba Moro, representing Benue South Senatorial District, dedicated his newly launched Campaign Council to God at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Otukpo.

While the police have retrieved the Hilux vehicle, the commissioner’s whereabouts remain unknown. The vehicle has been delivered to the Divisional Police headquarters in Otukpo.
