Arsenal to set Mikel Arteta up for life with new shattering deal

Arsenal and Mikel Arteta could end up becoming the pair that Arsene Wenger was with the club some years back, and if the latest reports can be trusted, the Spaniard could even supercede the Frenchman.

It is reported that the Arsenal hierarchy are preparing to offer Mikel Arteta a new contract that will make him the highest-paid manager in the club’s history, surpassing the earnings of former manager Arsene Wenger.

The club is said to be eager to secure Arteta’s services beyond his current contract, which runs until 2025.

Arteta has led Arsenal to back-to-back second-place finishes in the Premier League, pushing Manchester City to the final day of the campaign this season. The Gunners finished just two points behind City, having earned four points against Pep Guardiola’s side during the season.

In recognition of his achievements, Arsenal plans to enter formal contract negotiations with Arteta.

If he agrees to the new terms, he will surpass Wenger’s record salary of approximately £8 million per year, potentially joining the ranks of the Premier League’s highest-paid managers alongside Guardiola, who reportedly earns £19.7 million per year.

At the Globe Soccer Awards, where Arteta was honored as the Best Premier League Coach, he expressed his ambitions for the club.

“Win. Win, win and win. That’s what we want,” he said. “I feel extremely proud because when I decided to stop my career as a football player, I thought that all the joy and best moments were gone.”

Arteta emphasized the team’s enthusiasm and hunger for trophies.

“We’ve been building for a few years and right now we have a team that is full of enthusiasm, and so hungry to win trophies. We know the competition, but we believe we can do it, so we’re going to give it a real go,” he added.

With Arteta’s future at the Emirates looking increasingly secure, Arsenal fans will be hopeful that his leadership will bring further success to the club.
