Manchester United blocks Media outlets from Press Conference

The tension flares as Manchester United has taken actions against fan outlet, Manchester Evening News and three other sports publications following reports that were leaked in the late hours of Monday.

Ahead of the Chelsea fixture on Wednesday, the club has moved to block the publications from attending the manager’s pre-match press conference.

Late last night, reports alleged trouble within the Manchester United dressing room, with unnamed Senior players believed to be aggrieved by Erik ten Hag’s coaching methodology.

According to reports from the Daily Mail UK, the unnamed Senior Players had confronted the Dutchman on his managerial style, particularly his training sessions believed to have left many disgruntled.

It is unclear if the move to block the media outlets from Erik ten Hag’s pre-match press conference is a direct reaction to the leak or based on an unrelated incident.

However a statement from an alleged insider within the club indicates that this is likely the reason, stating that the ban was imposed because Manchester United was not contacted for its own comment prior to the reports being published.

Manchester United so far, have endured a mixed reception this season on the result and performance front, with the premier league club close to being eliminated from the Champions League and facing inconsistencies in the domestic league.

The team currently sits 7th in the league, with the Red Devils set to host bitter rivals, Chelsea at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.
