Bose Ogulu, mother and manager of Nigeria’s sensation Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, took to social media to react with pride despite son failing to win any of the four nominations at the 2024 Grammy Awards ceremony.

Bose Ogulu expressed pride in her son’s achievements despite not securing any wins in the four Grammy nominations.

Although Burna Boy faced disappointment in the 2024 Grammy categories, he illuminated the 66th Grammys by making history as the first Nigerian and Afrobeats artist to deliver a live performance on the award’s main stage.

The ‘African Giant’ captivated the audience at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles with a medley of songs from his latest album, ‘I Told Them.’

Sharing the stage with the Nigerian artist were legendary singer Brandy and rapper 21 Savage, creating a memorable and energetic performance for the audience.

Before the live performance, Burna Boy experienced setbacks as he lost in all four in the 2024 Grammy categories he was nominated for.

Despite not clinching the Best Global Music Performance, Best Global Music Album, Best Melodic Rap Performance, and Best African Music Performance awards, Burna Boy’s resilience and dedication to his craft were evident.

Bose Ogulu, undeterred by the setbacks, took to her Instagram page to celebrate her son’s contribution to Afrobeat music, hailing him as the blueprint of the genre.

In her message, she praised Burna Boy for continuously etching his name in the sands of time, emphasizing his lasting legacy.

“Burna Boy, etching his name in the sands of time. Legacy. So proud of @fromtheoutsiders & my entire Spaceship team. Champions you are Ebunoluwa, the gift of God that adds blessings & no sorrow. You are indeed the blueprint,” she wrote.
