YouTube rolls out new sticker for Shorts globally
YouTube has officially rolled out its new “Add Yours” sticker for YouTube Shorts, a feature similar to one found on Instagram.
Originally announced in July, the feature encourages users to create and share their versions of a creator’s video, taking inspiration from TikTok’s “duet” tool.
With the “Add Yours” sticker, users can, for example, share a Short featuring their pet and prompt others to do the same, creating a chain of related content.
To use the feature, after recording a video, users can tap the stickers icon, select “Add Yours,” and enter a prompt. Once the Short is published, viewers can respond by creating their Shorts or by exploring other responses via the sticker.
This feature is part of YouTube’s broader update for creators, including tools for automatically converting longer videos into Shorts and generating customizable captions.
