OGB Recent bows to pressure, explains why ‘he called Wizkid 002’

Popular Nigerian skitmaker and comedian, OGB Recent has come under the heat of Nigerians after he allegedly referred singer, Ayo Wizkid Balogun as 002 during his 34th birthday.

TopNaija gathered that a tweet from an X account named OGB Recent penned a “birthday message” to Wizkid and added the tag “002” to the singer’s name. Fans depicted this to calling the singer second to David Adeleke, aka Davido, who is also known as “001.”

Following the criticisms that trialed the tweet, the skit maker in a new video has stated that he was not the one that made the tweet on that handle.

In short, OGB Recent claimed that he was being impersonated on Twitter.

The skit maker added that he doesn’t get himself in music stars’ fans exchange.

OGB also apologized to the fans of Davido, Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Naira Marley, among others, who may have been offended by the tweets from the account posing as him.

“Abeg I no dey Twitter,” OGB Recent said.

Despite the skit maker’s move to clear his name, some netizens turned deaf ears. They insisted that he was indeed the handler of that verified X account. Others, however, called for mass reporting of the handle.
