Former Premier League players, Paul Merson and Chris Sutton, both who are currently pundits, have made predictions ahead of this weekend’s Premier League fixtures, with Merson tipping Arsenal to beat Liverpool, while Sutton predicts a 3-1 win for the Gunners.

Merson, who played for Arsenal and Aston Villa during his career, believes that if Arsenal can beat Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, they can go on to win the Premier League title. He told Sportskeeda:

“If Arsenal win this game, I think they will win the Premier League. They still have a game against an excellent Newcastle side, but Arsenal won’t have to beat them if they can get the better of Liverpool. Merson’s Prediction: Liverpool 1-2 Arsenal.”

Meanwhile, Sutton, who played for Chelsea, Blackburn Rovers, and Norwich City, among others, has made predictions for all of the weekend’s Premier League fixtures. In addition to Arsenal’s win over Liverpool, Sutton has predicted a 2-1 win for Manchester United over Everton, a 1-1 draw between Wolves and Chelsea, and a 3-0 win for Manchester City over Southampton.
