Jurgen Klopp shocked many just months after his exit from Liverpool when he signed a new deal with the Red Bull group to return to the game.
Although not taking to the sidelines, Klopp’s decision earned him a lot of controversy specifically with the Borussia Dortmund fans who found the move questionable of Klopp’s character.
The former Liverpool manager will take on the challenge as the Head of Global Soccer at Red Bull starting January 2025. A move that is set to reward the German handsomely with a reported eye-watering €10-12 million annual salary.
The bold move to link up with the Red Bull group, gives Jurgen Klopp the privilege to step away from the intensity of matchday management for a unique role that will allow him to shape the future of Red Bull’s international football network—including clubs like RB Leipzig, New York Red Bulls, and Red Bull Salzburg. Klopp’s new job comes with a mentor-style focus, working closely with coaches and management to nurture talent and refine strategies across the globe.
