Video shows Adedoyin, Hiltons Hotel owner’s reaction after he was sentenced to death

Dr. Ramon Adedoyin, the well-known owner of Hilton Hotel in Ile-Ife, Osun State, has been sentenced to death by hanging by the Osun State High Court for the murder of Timothy Adegoke, a former postgraduate student of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife.

The tragic incident occurred in November 2021, when Adegoke was found dead inside his hotel room at Hilton Hotels.

Following the murder, Dr. Ramon Adedoyin and six of his hotel staff members were apprehended and subsequently arraigned in connection with the crime.

Chief Judge of Osun State, Justice Oyebola Adepele Ojo presided over the court proceedings and, after careful examination of the evidence presented, found Adedoyin and two of his staff members, Adeniyi Aderogba and Kazeem Oyetunde, guilty of six out of the 18 charges brought against them.

During the delivery of her judgement, Justice Ojo stated that the circumstantial evidence provided to the court strongly pointed to the involvement of Adedoyin and his staff in the murder of Adegoke while he was a guest at Hilton Hotel.

The court, after careful consideration, concluded that the accused were responsible for the tragic death of the former OAU student.

However, in a surprising turn of events, Justice Ojo discharged and acquitted three of the hotel staff members—Magdalene Chiefuna, Lawrence Oluwole, and Adedeji Adesola—who had been implicated in the case.
