Gospel music star Mercy Chinwo has made serious allegations against her former manager, Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu, also known as Eezee Tee, accusing him of exploitation, threats to her safety, and spreading false rumors regarding the paternity of her child. This marks the latest development in the ongoing feud between Chinwo and Eezee Tee.

In a video posted to Instagram on Tuesday, Chinwo did not directly name Eezee Tee but described the harrowing experience she endured. “A man claimed I sued him, came online and made videos to tarnish my image. He looked at me and said ‘I made you who you are and I will destroy you.’ I became scared for my life and it got to a point where I had to move from Lagos to Port Harcourt because this man made the environment toxic for me,” she shared.

The singer revealed that the threats escalated to a point where she feared for her safety, leading to her relocation. “I’ve endured bullying. I’ve endured threats. Whatever he is doing on social media now is nothing compared to what I went through,” she stated, further emphasizing the emotional and psychological toll of her experience.

One of the most shocking accusations from Chinwo was that Eezee Tee allegedly sponsored false news about the paternity of her son. She suggested that the rumors were motivated by the manager’s personal animosity toward Pastor Nathaniel Bassey, with whom Chinwo had worked on a song. “One of my major crimes was when I did a song with Pastor Nathaniel Bassey. Because this man hates Pastor Nathaniel Bassey, he went as far as sponsoring fake news about an innocent child, my son,” Chinwo asserted.

According to Chinwo, Eezee Tee’s disdain for Pastor Bassey led him to spread damaging rumors. “You said my son was not my son. You paid bloggers because you hate Pastor Jerry Eze. You wouldn’t want me to go to his event. The people you fight I must fight them with you?” she continued. She described how she was pressured to align herself with Eezee Tee’s battles, even when she questioned his reasons for holding such grudges.

In the video, Chinwo also addressed the issue of her professional relationship with Eezee Tee, claiming that he attempted to exploit her career. She recounted how he tried to convince her to sign a 12-year contract, which she rejected. “What did I do? What have I done to you? I served you as a father, I was once your backup singer,” Chinwo said. She explained that after refusing to sign the extended contract, Eezee Tee began behaving in a toxic manner.

The singer claimed that after her contract ended, Eezee Tee forged a new contract without her consent and withheld her royalties for two years. “You seized my royalties for two years. You are a bully; you’re an oppressor,” Chinwo stated, expressing her frustration over the situation.

Chinwo also clarified that the narrative of her taking Eezee Tee to court was false. “This is not to paint him bad. He took me to court and came online to make public that I took him to court. Here are the documents, you took me and Minister JudiKay to court,” she said, presenting evidence to counter the claims made by Eezee Tee. “How many lawyers have you changed now because you said you would deal with me and you have connections?” Chinwo continued, highlighting the power dynamics at play.

Despite the challenges, Chinwo remained resolute in her belief that justice would prevail. “You are not God and you cannot destroy me. You have bloggers, I have God. The worst you can do is what you are doing. And I know that God will not let your plan come to pass,” she declared, expressing confidence in divine intervention.
