UCL Exit: Guardiola seriously reaching as rant on Liverpool takes new heights

Angry Guardiola

Right now, if you are thinking of the one man who hates Liverpool more than United fans, then look no further, Guardiola is your man.

The City boss is no longer hiding his hate and admiration for the club as days after his Champions League exit with Manchester City, he comes up on post match interview with quotes sure to irritate Liverpool fans and get the whole of England talking.

In his latest rant, the City Boss has accused the whole of the English fandom including the media and pundits alike of being pro Liverpool supporters and leaving a dig on the Merseyside club to having won just a league title in the whole of 30 years competing in the Premier League. It comes as a banter that Liverpool supporters would most definitely not take lightly, but for Pep Guardiola, he sees it as little consequence considering he spews fact.

The Spaniard in a post match interview after his City side took advantage of Liverpool’s slip at the table to move 3 points clear at the top, said in quote: “Everyone in this country supports Liverpool. The Media and everyone. Of course because Liverpool has an incredible history in European competition, not in the Premier League. They won one in 30 years.”

For the Liverpool side of the divide, the fans disagree with the City boss solely on the idea they feel the Spaniard is diverting the attention off his team’s for falling short against Real Madrid in the recently concluded Champions League Semi final, to a Liverpool side that scaled through to the final.

They also disagree with the notion that concludes the whole of England supports Liverpool, citing the fact they have more rivalries than Manchester City as prove the Spaniard is reaching in his subtle dig and rant on Liverpool.

The title race is still far from over as things stand and more jibes and digs along with mind games are expected at this critical end to the season in a bid to disorient the opposition one way or another. Surely, Jurgen Klopp will be asked his response to the City boss’ comments soon.
