‘Twitter Died When I handed Over to Elon Musk ‘ Former Twitter CEO Reacts
Twitter’s former CEO, Jack Dorsey has disclosed that the social media platform “went south” after its sale to billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk.
Dorsey, who co-founded Twitter in 2006, made the comments in a recent interview with a tech podcast.
He stated that while he believed Musk was a “brilliant” individual, his involvement in Twitter’s affairs had a negative impact on the platform.
According to Dorsey, Musk’s presence on Twitter led to an influx of “bots and spammy accounts” which in turn caused a decline in the quality of content being shared on the platform.
He also criticized Musk’s tendency to use Twitter to “stir up controversy” and engage in public feuds with other high-profile individuals.
Despite his criticisms, Dorsey did acknowledge that Musk’s investment in Twitter had helped to increase the platform’s overall value.
However, he stated that he ultimately felt the negative impact of Musk’s involvement outweighed the positive.
Musk, who is known for his frequent use of Twitter to share updates on his various business ventures, has not yet responded to Dorsey’s comments.
