Todd Boehly ready to spend £344.5m on Transfers
New Chelsea owner, Todd Boehly could spend close to about £344.5m on incoming signings for the Blues as Chelsea has already spent over a £100m already.
The West London side has seen the entrance of Marc Cucurella from Brighton, Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli, Raheem Sterling from Manchester City and Carney Chukwuemeka from Aston Villa this summer.
But according to reports, the Chelsea owner will continue on the spending spree to bring in new players into the club as per Thomas Tuchel’s guidance.
This follows the Blues having quite the poor pre-season and a torrid start against Everton last weekend.
The quartet signing of Sterling, Koulibaly, Cucurella and Chukwuemeka have already cost the club £160m which is set to double as the club enters the race to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona.
There is also the fact that club manager is keen on signing Wesley Fofana from Leicester City, a signing Brendan Rodgers, Leicester’s manager is strongly against.
With Leicester being tough negotiators in the transfer business and having sold their players for nothing less than £40m in recent seasons to top 6 clubs, Todd Boehly could spend as big a sum to poach Fofana off latest.
It is worthy to note that Leicester City have sold Harry Maguire for £80m to Manchester United and also commanded a heavy sum before Chelsea could sign Ben Chillwell last season.
Barcelona according to Spanish football expert, Alvaro Montero may be forced to collect £20m for Aubameyang who joined the Catalans on a free in January, and for Frenkie de Jong, they look to command a fee not less than the £72m it agreed with Manchester United.
Unlike Manchester United, Chelsea can offer De Jong Champions League football which could make the move all the more possible.
Inter Milan starlet Cesare Casadei has also been linked with a move to Chelsea. The 19-year-old could cost around £12.5m.
Should these deals go through, Todd Boehly will have to spend something close to £184.5m or more and in total something within the range of £344.5m for all the summer signings.
