Former Barcelona and Leicester City striker and renowned football pundit, Gary Lineker, has boldly tipped Arsenal for premier league title glory.

According to the former England international, the Gunners could break Manchester City’s longstanding stranglehold on the Premier League by clinching their first title in two decades in the upcoming 2023/24 season.

Following their impressive performance last season, Arsenal emerged as Manchester City’s primary contender for the Premier League crown, against the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham, finishing a close second behind the reigning champions.

Lineker, famed for his football expertise, is convinced that the Gunners possess the right formula to overthrow Manchester City’s supremacy this time around.

Speaking candidly to The Sun, he expressed his prediction, saying,

“I am tipping Arsenal to win the title this season – maybe just to avoid being predictable, but I do think they have had an impressive summer in the transfer market.”

Lineker elaborated on his reasoning, noting that the experience gained from last season’s title race could be a pivotal factor in Arsenal’s potential success.

He highlighted the beneficial impact of narrowly missing out on the title, emphasizing,

“Rather than demoralising them, going close and missing out last season will benefit Mikel Arteta’s side. Being in the title race has given them an experience that they didn’t previously have.”
