"There is a lot of quality in Manchester United" -- Jurgen Klopp

“I saw a few really good games – a lot of quality. It means everything to both sets of fans.” — Liverpool boss says ahead of facing Manchester United on Sunday.

Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp in his pre-match press conference has reacted to facing Manchester United in the upcoming FA Cup quarter final tie at Old Trafford.

Heading into the fixture, the Reds will be missing the absence of their key Centre Back figure, Ibrahima Konate, who Jurgen Klopp has confirmed is facing a race against time to be ready for the derby clash.

Speaking on the potential absence of the France international, the German boss said;

“Ibou Konaté didn’t train today, will be a tight race which we will probably lose.”

Liverpool missed the impact of the Centre Half in the premier league tie versus Manchester City last weekend, with the Reds having to face the Premier League Champions with academy graduate, Jarrell Quansah as a partnership pair with Virgil van Dijk.

However, the Merseyside Reds will go into the clash with the boost of Mohamed Salah and Ryan Gravenberch who Jurgen Klopp confirms are fit to face Manchester United.

“Mo Salah is definitely ready for the game against Man United. Gravenberch trained again today so should be ready,” Klopp confirmed.

On the opposite end of the North West, Manchester United are set to welcome the presence of Mason Mount, Aaron Wan Bissaka, Harry Maguire and Rasmus Hojlund in the squad.

“Harry Maguire, Rasmus Højlund and Aaron Wan-Bissaka have chances to be back, they are training with the group. Mason Mount trained all week with us, he had some full sessions with us, so it’s looking good.” Erik ten Hag revealed.

Amongst other things, the Liverpool manager did confirm the expected return dates of the other absent players in the Liverpool squad.

Jurgen Klopp confirmed in his pre-match conference ahead of the Manchester United clash;

“Curtis, Diogo and Trent the week after, chance. Stefan is now in his pre season to build his match fitness, in a much better place now, he will be part of team training after international break!”

On facing the Red Devils again but this time at Old Trafford, the Liverpool boss said;

“A lot of quality there, they had injury problems, always a tough place to go for us, it means everything to both fan groups, we try to show that on the pitch as well with the work rate, we’re really willing to give it a try.”
