The Remains of Ortrees uncovered, Cultists prime suspects
Popular Benue State singer, Terungwa Ikon also known as Ortrees recently went missing for weeks, and according to reports now, has had his remains found within the North Bank of Makurdi.
It was initially reported that the singer had gone missing on Wednesday, April 23, 2022 weeks before his body was found.
Ikon was said to have left his elder brother’s house for their family house in the North Bank area of Makurdi, before he had gone missing with a source close to the story revealing that, “He was never seen again until his body was found dumped near a river on Sunday, June 5, 2022.”
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Catherine Anene, a Superintendent of Police, confirmed the report, affirming the factuality of the story.
The Superintendent disclosed that the singer’s body was found dumped in the river according to the story, and that arrests were already made.
Suspects reported to be involved in the death are said to be cultists, who according to the Police spokesperson are those in custody.
