"The only way I will leave Man United" -- Bruno Fernandes

Amidst the many rumors surrounding his future, Manchester United midfielder, Bruno Fernandes has broken his silence as the current campaign nears its end.

Speaking post-match after the 3-2 defeat of Newcastle United, the Portugal international addresses his plans moving forward. According to Bruno Fernandes, the only way he leaves Manchester United this summer is if the club no longer requires his services.

“I will be here till when the club wants me and the club wants me to be a part of the future. If for some reason they don’t want me, then I will go.” the 29-year-old is quoted saying when asked about the rumors.

Bruno Fernandes stayed on the sidelines in Man United’s last 2-matches after picking a fitness concern that forced him to miss the crucial Premier League tie versus Arsenal last weekend.

Though nothing tangible can be taken off the ex-Sporting Lisbon player’s comments, as the words are a little coy and open to interpretation, the midfielder is not eager to leave Manchester United as the speculations suggest.

Fernandes’ comments highlight his dedication to the club, while also leaving the door open for a departure if circumstances change. Circumstances which he does not specify.
