Suspended Manchester United Forward Mason Greenwood Returns to Training Following Arrest
Suspended Manchester United forward, Mason Greenwood, has been captured training on a football pitch for the first time since his arrest last year.
The 19-year-old was seen engaging in training sessions at a public sports center, under the guidance of a private coach.
In exclusive images published by The Sun, Greenwood was observed not wearing any Manchester United gear and was training away from the club’s training ground, Carrington.
This development comes after Greenwood’s suspension by the club following charges of attempted rape and controlling and coercive behavior in October 2021.
However, in February of this year, the charges against Greenwood were dropped.
Nevertheless, Manchester United has maintained his suspension while conducting an internal investigation.
Despite his absence from competitive football, Greenwood was recently included in United’s retained list, as he remains under contract.
The club has clarified that the ongoing investigation is not influenced by his inclusion on the list.
Greenwood’s last appearance for Manchester United was in January 2022 when he started in a 1-0 victory over West Ham.
As the talented young player resumes training, it remains to be seen when he will be reinstated to the first-team squad and resume competitive action for the Premier League side.
