Superman No More: Reactions Trail Henry Cavill Exiting The Role
If no one has figured it out yet, it’s safe to believe the myth that has prevailed for some time before now that the Superman character within the DC Comic book world has quite a curse following it, and with Henry Cavill departing the role roughly 2 months after being brought back, there might be some credence to the myth.
In a twist of turns, the Man Of Steel actor announced on Wednesday night his decision to depart the role which was largely influenced by the DC films’ division’s new boss, James Gunn taking a new path with the Superman character going forward.
According to reports, James Gunn and the Peter Safran DC Studios leadership would be taking the character along the reboot line with a totally new cast of younger actors and a new lead moving forward.
The news, of course, created division on the internet with fans pointing out how the studio literally brought Henry Cavill back 2 months ago with the actor leaving behind a hit Netflix series—The Witcher, in favor of the Superman project only to have him booted out in a roundabout turn.
Twitter sure had a lot to say about Henry Cavill and his Superman portrayal, and for the James Gunn project, the division sure might not bode well as the actor who has come to be known as the modern generation of Superman bids his farewell.
It is unclear if Black Adam will be the last appearance of Henry Cavill in the role of Superman as rumors suggests he filmed scenes in the upcoming movie; The Flash as the DC flagship character.
Among those on the slate is Superman. In the initial stages, our story will be focusing on an earlier part of Superman's life, so the character will not be played by Henry Cavill.

Henry Cavill loved The Witcher but he clearly wanted the studio to respect the book material and it must have disappointed him to see them mock it. He ended up eventually leaving it behind for Superman only for DC to drop him again within 2 months.
This man deserved better. pic.twitter.com/rkEr2uFTV4

James Gunn firing Henry Cavill from Superman pretty much confirms the recent rumors.
He's rebooting DC.
Jason Momoa won't be Aquaman, but Lobo
Gal Gadot's recent message was a goodbye

First they asked Henry Cavill to announce that he’s back as Superman and two months later he’s asked to announce that he’s not returning as Superman.
