The Rock Reacts To Black Panther Dethroning Black Adam

At one point, we thought Dwayne ‘the Rock’ Johnson’s movie Black Adam was gearing to change the hierarchy of power, but into the International box office from Wakanda, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever destroys said hierarchy to overshadow Black Adam.

It was bound to happen at some point though, no matter the popularity of Dwayne ‘the Rock’ Johnson in the Hollywood business. Black Adam to general audiences is a relatively new character that to many doesn’t have the same social appeal the story Wakanda Forever sets out for.

For Dwayne Johnson, he holds no grievances though, as he reacts to the report of the Marvel movie dethroning his movie in the positive light, going as far as to promote the rival studio movie himself.

It’s not surprising after, considering the Rock’s character in the movie didn’t want a throne after all to change whatever hierarchy of power needed to be changed.

With $331.3 million worldwide, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever dominated the box office on its opening weekend. The Marvel Studios film broke the previous record-holder The Hunger Games: Catching Fire in 2013 by earning $181 million from North American theaters alone, making it the biggest November launch ever.
