Stop comparing artistes, we can all shine – Simi tells fans

Nigerian star singer, Simi has asked fans to quit asking people to choose between two or more artists. 

Simi said this in reaction to a Twitter post asking people to choose whom they preferred between Teni and herself.

But Simi replied, saying the trend should end with 2018.

According to her, there is enough space for all to shine.

She added that listening to the music of many artistes is not mutually exclusive.

“Guys this is 2019. This needs to end. We all working, we can all shine. Harmless fun, but doing this allll the time be like there’s only room for one or two women to prosper when there’s space for all of us,” Simi wrote.

While Simi has been popular in the industry for years, Teni became a household name when she released her first video, Fargin, in 2017.
