SS2 student suspended for slapping corp member In Ibadan

A Senior Secondary School II of Anglican Commercial Secondary School, Orita-Mefa, Ibadan has been suspended by the Oyo State Government for slapping a corp member.

The said student was immediately suspended for one month after slapping a Corp member.

Rahman Abdu-Raheem, The State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology ordered the immediate suspension of the student on Tuesday, February 15 during a visit to the school premises.

The commissioner also said the student should tender his apology to the corp member and sign an undertaking upon resumption of school duty.


Addressing the students, Abdu-Raheem urged them to be of good behaviour, as he stated that the state government would not condone any form of indiscipline.


He also warned that any student caught in such unruly manner would be dismissed from schools in Oyo State henceforth.


Abdu-Raheem also charged teachers to be more dedicated and punctual at work.
