Samuel Eto'o itchy for Cameroon vs. Nigeria

After gaining qualification into the AFCON knockout stages, Cameroon are set to face Nigeria in the Round of 16 and Barcelona legend, Samuel Eto’o couldn’t be happier about it.

Cameroon Football Federation President, Samuel Eto’o, made headlines on Tuesday night as he enthusiastically celebrated the national team’s qualification for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Round of 16.

The viral clip on social media captured Eto’o joining players and coaches in jubilation after Cameroon secured a thrilling 3-2 victory over Gambia in their final Group C match.

The legendary former Chelsea and Inter Milan striker showcased his joy by dancing and embracing all the players in the dressing room. The camaraderie displayed in the celebration highlighted the team’s unity and shared triumph.

The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon are now set to face Nigeria in the Round of 16, a matchup that promises to be highly anticipated.

Nigeria, having finished second in Group A behind Equatorial Guinea, will once again clash with Cameroon at this stage, recalling their intense encounter in 2019 in Egypt, where Nigeria emerged victorious with a 3-2 scoreline.
