Salah stays at Liverpool, for 3 more years.

It probably is the headline no one would have expected on a Friday afternoon, but for the Liverpool fans, they will take the news all day.

The debates had gone around, analysis were done, theories were formed, but finally, Liverpool’s star winger has signed new fresh terms with the club to extend his stay at Liverpool.

It’s a news that even escaped the attention and notice of football journalists as Fabrizio Romano did not see it coming till it was announced by the club on its website.

And what a way to announce, than let the Egyptian do it all by himself.

“Salah stays…” the former AS Roma forward announced while sitting by a pool in a Liverpool kit.

The news will be sure to delight every Reds fan after the emotional exit of Sadio Mane this last week from the club to Bayern Munich.

According to the announcement, the forward extends his contract for another 3 seasons running to June 2025.

“I feel great and excited to win all the trophies with the club. It’s a happy day for everyone. Finally everything is done” the winger said on signing the contract.

So much speculation surrounded Mohamed Salah’s situation at the club, and at a time in the window, speculations even suggests the forward could go the Sadio Mane route and make a shocking move away from the club.

With the contract all done, eyes turn on Liverpool’s number 9 Roberto Firmino who the reports allege he is to be offered in a swap deal to Juventus this summer.

Although that remains to be seen as the summer transfer is still far from over. For now, Liverpool fans can chant the Mohamed Salah song as he stays.

As the Egyptian forward confirms he is staying, hopes for more trophies will linger on in the minds of the club’s fans.
