Rapper Jay-Z cried tears of joy after his mom came out | Watch on TN!

Jay-Z and his mother, Gloria Carter, have grown so much closer after she came out of the closet.

“Imagine having lived your life for someone else. And you think you’re protecting your kids,” Jay-Z shared in an interview for the Netflix show “My Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman” airing on April 6. “And for my mother to have to live as someone that she wasn’t and hide and, like, protect her kids — and didn’t want to embarrass her kids, and you know, for all this time.”

On a forthcoming episode of My Next Guest Needs no Introduction with David Letterman, JAY-Z, the hip hop mogul revealed that he shed tears when she finally told him because she could now be free to live her life.

The full interview is slated for an April 6th release on Netflix.
