Premier League Predictions For The Weekend
The Premier League weekend predictions return, with match week 18 beginning as early as Thursday with Crystal Palace 20:00 Brighton and Hove Albion taking into hostile territories at the Selhurst Park to kickstart the weekend games.
With the games set to take place shortly after publishing this, we predict a 2-1 win for Palace at home turf. Coming from 2-0 down at the Etihad last weekend, will sure boost confidence for Roy Hodgson’s side on the night.
Following up with Thursday fixture, comes Friday 22nd December tie between Aston Villa 20:00 Sheffield United.
Villa have a chance of going top of the table Villa Park on Friday night, and possibly for the weekend itself if they can steal a win from the Blades before Liverpool and Arsenal take on each other on Saturday.
With less pressure on Unai Emery‘s side, and more on Liverpool and Arsenal, we predict a coastal victory for Aston Villa in our premier league predictions. A score line of 2-0 should be fitting for Villa.
The full premier league fixtures return proper on Saturday 23rd December with West Ham United 12:30 Manchester United taking on each other at lunch time kick at the London Stadium.
Following a 5-1 hammering at Anfield in the Carabao Cup, West Ham will be heading into the clash low on confidence, perhaps against a Manchester United side that will be heading into the clash high on morale after dragging Liverpool at Anfield to a 0-0 score line.
In our premier league predictions, we have this tie a consecutive stalemate for Manchester United, perhaps the second of the season. A 2-2 score line could be seen.
Fulham 15:00 Burnley then follows at 3 pm kickoff at Cravens Cottage. The Cottagers under Marco Silva are a high flying side, and will look to build on to that form against Burnley.
In our premier league predictions, we have this tie going for a 3-0 win in favor of Fulham.
Luton Town 15:00 Newcastle United also takes place concurrent to Fulham and other 2 fixtures.
We predict this game going in a 0-2 triumph for Newcastle who suffered Carabao Cup elimination at the hands of Chelsea in mid-week.
Nottingham Forest 15:00 Bournemouth will welcome former Wolves boss, Nuno Espirito Santo back to the Premier League.
With a new manager bounce and having the home advantage, we predict this tie to go for a Forest victory at the City Ground. Perhaps a 2-1, or 1-0 victory to claim all 3 points.
Tottenham Hotspur 15:00 Everton is a tie that looks very difficult to predict considering the inconsistent form Spurs are now under, and of course, a reformed Everton side who have now taken to winning games.
However, if we must predict, we have this tie going for 2-1 win in our premier league predictions.
This brings us to the most important fixture of the weekend, and of Saturday as Liverpool 17:30 Arsenal take on each other at Anfield.
A battle for top spot, and depending on the result from Aston Villa’s tie against Sheffield United, it could see 2nd place Arsenal taking on the third placed Reds at their Anfield turf.
Following the 0-0 draw against Manchester United, many would call this tie in favor of Arsenal who have been without a win at Merseyside for a few seasons now.
In our premier league predictions, we see the Gunners breaking the jinx and getting their first win at Anfield in years. A 2-3 win could see Arsenal return back to top spot or maintain their top spot.
Sunday 24th December ends the premier league weekend, and so also our prediction as Wolverhampton Wanderers 13:00 Chelsea battle it out at the Molineux.
We predict a 1-3 win for the Blues to celebrate their 6th win in the premier league so far.
