Nigerian actress, Oge Okoye has been trending on social media since Thursday after a video surfaced online, where she was spotted at a South Africa-based Alleluia Ministries International.

The church is owned by Alph Lukau, a controversial pastor, who was said to have been involved in an allegedly staged resurrection of a dead man, which went viral in February 2019.

In this footage, which has since circulated the internet, the actress could be seen shedding tears as she got a prophecy from the controversial cleric.

“I am speaking acceleration…somebody gat to help you because there are some people we gat to root out because they do not want you to become a media story, do you understand. I just don’t want media story. There are some people that we need to kick out then they will know that you came to see Alph Lukau,” he said.

The controversial cleric went on to prophesy on Okoye’s daughter who accompanied her to the church.

While it remains unknown if the actress visited the pastor before or after the resurrection stunt, scores of Nigerians have taken to social media to question the actress’ motives at the church.

“Is Oge Oke also trying to resurrect her career?,” one fan asked.

Some users also raised the alarm that the video dates back to a period before Lukau’s allegedly staged miracle.

Here are few randomly selected tweets that portray what Nigerians think of the development.
