Portable shades Davido, revisits old beef
Portable is never one to forget a feud no matter how long, and this time, Afrobeats star, Davido isn’t safe.
The controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb “Portable” Okikola has reignited his feud with Afrobeats superstar Davido, taking to social media to call out the “Unavailable” hitmaker for failing to deliver a promised verse on his latest single.
The tension between the two artists, which first flared up in June 2024 during a heated argument in Atlanta, has now reached new heights. Portable, known for his outspoken nature, claims that Davido reneged on his commitment after offering what he described as “inappropriate advice” during their meeting in the U.S.

Sharing his frustrations on Instagram, Portable didn’t hold back: “Na who helps you be your helper; who promises you fit change mind,” he posted, expressing disappointment over the missing verse. “I’m not dropping myself because @davido hasn’t given me a verse on this song. Star. Don’t beg to shine. Who’s going to help you, not upset you.”
This latest jab follows a series of escalating tensions, with Portable recently taking shots at both Davido and fellow artist Zlatan Ibile. The Zeh Nation boss accused Zlatan of fueling the beef by advising Portable’s former manager, Kogbagidi, not to support him.
