Police Arrest Man For Defiling His Brother And Neigbour’s Daughters

Habu Yusuf, 21, was arrested in Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area of Nasarawa state for having illicit carnal knowledge of his brother’s two daughters.

DCP Shettima Muhammad, the state’s acting commissioner of police, made the announcement on Monday, December 4, 2023, at the police headquarters in Lafia, while arraigning the suspect with 17 other offenders caught for different offences throughout the state’s 13 local government areas.

The culprit was apprehended after r*ping a neighbor’s 5-year-old girl, according to the commissioner.

“On 31/10/2023, at about 1430hrs, a complaint was lodged at Nasarawa Eggon Division by one Justina Samuel that she returned from the market and found that her 5 year old daughter was walking abnormally,” the CP stated.

“Upon inquiry, she revealed that she was s3xually molested by one Habu Yusuf, 21, of Egbukumu Area, Nasarawa Eggon

“He has confessed to the commission of the crime and investigation is ongoing,” the Commissioner added.

Speaking further, the Acting CP  disclosed that five suspects were arrested for kidnapping, 10 for armed robbery while 7 firearms and 27 ammunition were recovered.

“On 28/11/2023 at about 2330hrs, a detachment of Police operatives attached to Obi Division while carrying out Vehicular patrol along Adudu-Azara road intercepted two motorcycle riders carrying three passengers each.

“Upon reasonable suspicion, a thorough search was conducted on them where one AK 47 Riffle and twenty-six (26) rounds of 7.62MM live ammunition were recovered from the following suspects namely: Omiya Ijimi, Mable Ijimi, Tertenge Simon, Unjihga James, Kenneth Tsoka, Aandover Simo, Tamun Simon and Beega Simon all males of Ibuan village of Obi LGA. An investigation is ongoing at the State Criminal Investigation Department, Lafia,”
