Clothing allowance: Plateau govt settlement

The Plateau State Government has disbursed the clothing allowance for solicitors in the state Ministry of Justice, covering the period from 2018 to 2023.

Philemon Dafi, the Commissioner for Justice, stated that the payment for clothing allowance aims to motivate state counsel and enhance productivity.

“The ministry will do all it takes to improve staff welfare and encourage state counsel to dress well.

”Dressing well can also help you feel empowered and confident to take on new challenges, meet new people and progress in your career”.

He emphasized the importance of dressing well, citing its impact on confidence and career progression.

Additionally, the government has initiated training programs, workshops, and mentorship opportunities to enhance employees’ skills and facilitate career growth.

”The state has trained prosecutors and investigators and also holds continuous legal education for lawyers as well as hosting webinars on topical issues in the ministry”, he said.

State officials have also been sponsored on study tours to Lagos State to gain insights into the operations of relevant ministries and agencies.
