Phyna goes ‘religious’ after Davido denies her

Not all celebrity stars are famous and perhaps not every famous person is known.

Former BBNaija reality queen, Josephine Otabor also known as Phyna got the rude awakening after DMW boss, Davido denied knowing who she was when she confronted the Afro beats star on social media.

The controversy emerged when Phyna accused Davido of harboring ill feelings toward her after he liked a tweet that criticized her. The tweet, posted by a user with the handle @47kasz, questioned the choice of supporting certain celebrities and singled out Phyna as an example.

In response to this tweet, Davido’s reaction on social media quickly gained attention.

Phyna then took to her own social media handle to express her sentiments, saying, “Wetin I do @davido? Na wah oh, The hate is real….., Congratulations on your twins sha.”

Davido replied, stating, “Thank you, love, but I actually don’t know who you are… and it was an honest mistake… no vex.”

Davido’s response triggered a mixed reaction from the public, with some commending him for addressing what they perceived as a clout-chasing attempt by Phyna.

Others criticized him for disavowing the reality star who triumphed in the Big Brother Naija reality TV competition in 2022.

Phyna, however, took to her own social media platform to share her perspective, expressing gratitude for the fact that God recognizes her. She tweeted, “God knows me. Thank you, Jesus. Make I sha go double my hustle.”

However, Phyna got the support of former BBNaija contestant, Tacha who  reminded Phyna that she was still famous despite Davido claiming not to know her.
