"Our response is coming" -- Israel plan to go all out on Iran

Amid escalating tensions between Israel and Iran, reports emerge of Israel’s preparation for a retaliatory strike against the Islamic Republic.

According to a report aired on Israel’s Channel 12 news on Monday, April 15, the Jewish state has decided to respond “clearly and forcefully” following two war cabinet meetings to deliberate on the appropriate course of action.

The decision follows a barrage of 350 suicide drones and missiles launched against Israel, prompting leaders to debate the suitable response. Israel’s air force, comprising US-made F-16, F-15, and F-35 fighter jets, is reportedly gearing up for the strike, although no specific timeline has been provided.

The intended strike aims to send a message that Israel “will not allow an attack of that magnitude to pass without a reaction,” while also hoping to avoid sparking a wider conflict.

However, US President Joe Biden and leaders from several other countries have urged Israel to exercise restraint. Biden reportedly assured Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that the US would not support a retaliatory counter-attack.

Israeli military chief Lt. Gen Herzi Halevi confirmed that Iran’s actions “will be met with a response,” but refrained from providing further details or indicating the timing of the response.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant reportedly informed US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin that Israel feels compelled to retaliate against Iran’s aggression.

Meanwhile, at a White House press briefing, National Security Council spokesman John Kirby characterized Iran’s missile attack against Israel as a “spectacular and embarrassing failure” and emphasized Israel’s strengthened strategic position following the incident.

Kirby declined to comment on whether the US expected to be briefed ahead of an Israeli military response, stating that it is an Israeli decision to make. The situation remains tense as Israel weighs its options in response to Iran’s provocations.
