Nigeria’s Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, expressed his deep admiration for his wife, Dolapo Osinbajo, referring to her as his most powerful ally, as he hands over his responsibilities to incoming Vice President, Kashim Shettima.
Osinbajo conveyed this sentiment during a valedictory dinner held in his honor by his dedicated staff in Abuja on Friday, May 26. Osinbajo personally interviewed most of the individuals who worked with him, ensuring that they possessed a strong devotion to the country’s well-being. Reflecting on the swift passage of time, he acknowledged the many remarkable experiences and achievements that transpired during his tenure.
During the dinner, Osinbajo expressed heartfelt gratitude to his Police and Security Details, civil servants, Chief of Staff, Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, and Special Assistants, acknowledging their selfless service and exceptional dedication.
The Vice President also took a moment to recall the divine intervention that saved his life and the lives of 11 others during a helicopter crash in Kogi State on February 2, 2019. He recounted another incident in June 2018 when a helicopter he was traveling in had to make an emergency landing in Gwagwalada.
