While some of Nwosu’s associates alleged that he was kidnapped, others speculate that he was arrested by the state governor, Hope Uzodinma.

However, the state commissioner for Information and strategy, Declan Emelumba, swiftly debunk such saying it was “ridiculous” to allege that the governor had a hand in the disappearance of Uche Nwosu.

The police spokesperson for Imo state command, Micheal Abattam, said that he was waiting to be briefed by security operatives in the division the incident occured.
