Nollywood actor Mr. Ibu recovers after successful surgery

Nollywood veteran actor, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu, has successfully undergone five surgeries, according to recent reports.

The beloved entertainer, who marked his 63rd birthday while hospitalized, has reached out to the Nigerian public to seek assistance in covering his medical expenses, as he faces a serious ailment that could jeopardize his leg.

In a plea for public support, Mr. Ibu revealed that he is grappling with a medical condition that has the potential to lead to the loss of his leg. The actor made this appeal while he continues his recovery in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Providing an update on his condition through a statement posted on his Instagram page, the comedic actor disclosed that he has already undergone five surgeries, all of which were successful.

However, he is still in the process of recuperation, awaiting stability before embarking on advanced treatment abroad.

Mr. Ibu expressed his gratitude to the general public for their generous donations and support during this challenging phase of his life.

He also promised to personally acknowledge all contributions once he regains his health. He remains reliant on the prayers and unwavering support of well-wishers.

The statement read in part,

“So far, Daddy has gone through 5 successful surgeries, and he is still recovering in the ICU.

“Daddy is immensely grateful, and we are thankful to the general public during this phase of our lives. We appreciate all the donations made to this account, and as soon as Daddy is better, he will personally acknowledge all donations respectively!”
