Nigeria vs. South Africa: “I am desperate” — Stanley Nwabali
Call it the battle of the aces or the battle of the Goalies, Nigeria vs. South Africa is a game that Super Eagles goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali is desperately looking forward to after South Africa’s qualification for the Semi-finals.
The Nigeria international who plays at Club level in the South African league with Chippa United, exudes confidence heading into the last 4 round.
According to Stanley Nwabali, the weakness the Bafana Bafana of South Africa may want to exploit within the Super Eagles, is a strength that he and his Nigeria teammates will seek to exploit when both sides face off.
“I want to play against South Africa. I really wish to see how my defense will fare against them,” the Nigerian boasts.
“Yes, most of their players know me. And I also know me.” Stanley Nwabali warns.
If there stands any better tie in the competition so far, then Nigeria vs. South Africa has to be it.
The 2 best defences in the tournament face off against the other, and when 2 immovable objects meet, then there either sits a stand still, or one gives way for the other.
Though the rivalry does not sit deep between both teams, the Bafana Bafana hold a lot of grudges with the Super Eagles team, and they will fancy its time to collect their dues.
