Mbappe to Liverpool rumors return as Club explores option
Kylian Mbappe to Liverpool is a rumor that never seems to go away, perhaps until it happens, assuming it does happen.
According to a new report from Duncan Castles, the platform who in 2018 reported on Phillipe Coutinho’s move to Barcelona in the January window.
The new rumors state that the Reds have begun exploring options within financial and sporting metrics that could see them persuade the Frenchman to link up at Anfield with the Premier League club.
Also in the report, North London club, Arsenal are mentioned in the same running as Liverpool to be exploring options to bring in Mbappe to the premier league.
The Paris Saint-Germain star has long been a standing admirer of the Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, with the Frenchman once mentioning the Reds holding interest in signing him while he was still at AS Monaco.
The move to Anfield however will be interesting to see if anything fruitful comes out from the speculations, considering the general consensus stands that Kylian Mbappe has interests in leaving PSG for no other club but Real Madrid upon the expiry of his current contract with the Ligue 1 club.
The former AS Monaco man was on course for the Santiago Bernabeu move in 2021 prior to signing another contract extension with PSG to shock the football world.
With clubs like Liverpool and Arsenal mauling over their options to get the World Cup winner, it stands to reason that all may or may not be finalized between Real Madrid and Mbappe. And if there is a 50 percent chance for the premier league clubs to land the exciting forward, the financial parameters surrounding such move will come into the narrative.
Currently, Mbappe earns a speculated €2million-a-week wages at Paris Saint-Germain.
This fee could shatter either club’s record books and wage structure should Liverpool or Arsenal manage to convince Mbappe to sign for the club.
