The Kylian Mbappe saga is one that has grown to become a recurring theme in every transfer window since his move and stay in Paris Saint-Germain from AS Monaco.

Every club has at one point been linked with the French international for a summer move, with clubs like Liverpool, Real Madrid, Barcelona and even Tottenham Hotspur at one time mentioned in line with the World Cup winner.

Despite Mbappe staying professional and insisting on his loyalty to Paris Saint-Germain, there is just one name that just won’t go away; Real Madrid.

However, recently the reports linking Kylian Mbappe with the La Liga club has taken quite the shady narrative in terms of contract negotiations and so forth. It has led to another premier league side, Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal being linked with a move for the PSG star.

Addressing the sense behind the reports, Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta opens up on the possibility of the Frenchman making the move over to the Emirates instead of Real Madrid.

In a pre-match press conference ahead of the clash with Burnley, the Spaniard when asked on the links between Arsenal and Mbappe, said;

“When there is a player of that calibre we always have to be in the conversation. But as you said it looks in a different way.”

The manager’s comments in no way directly debunks nor confirms any negotiations taking place between Arsenal and the Paris Saint-Germain forward, but judging by the Gunners’ situation in terms of staying strict to its wage structure, the Frenchman donning on a white and red kit at the Emirates seems a stretch.
