Manchester United's injury woes almost over -- Ten Hag

Manchester United’s manager, Erik ten Hag, remains optimistic about the potential return of Sergio Reguilon, Christian Eriksen, and Scott McTominay to his matchday squad for the upcoming weekend’s clash against Crystal Palace.

The trio was notably absent during Tuesday’s 3-0 Carabao Cup victory against the same opponents due to illness.

Reguillon’s absence raised concerns when he failed to report to the club’s Carrington training complex following Saturday’s match at Turf Moor.

Manchester United’s protocol mandates that unwell players are either sent home or instructed to stay away to prevent the potential spread of illness within the squad.

It has been revealed that the Spanish defender felt unwell before the Burnley match but was determined to play, managing to stay on the pitch for 79 minutes before being substituted by Raphael Varane.

On the other hand, both Christian Eriksen and Scott McTominay were expected to feature in the encounter against Palace.

They attended training on Monday but subsequently fell under the weather, forcing them to miss the crucial match.
