Manchester United dealt surprise Blow ahead of Fulham

Manchester United aren’t going to get a break from injuries, are they?

The 2023/24 season is an ironic campaign for Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United, as just when they are about building up steam, they fall some steps backward. A rinse and repeat rhythmic movement one would say, as the Red Devils face more setbacks just after finding some positivity in the team.

Rasmus Hojlund is the latest to suffer this fate, as it is confirmed the Norwegian striker is set to miss United’s next premier league fixture against Fulham due to an injury.

Manchester United are reported to be without his on-field services for “two to three weeks” due to a muscle injury, as confirmed in a statement released on Friday.

Hojlund, who recently made strides by becoming the youngest player to score in six consecutive Premier League games, suffered the injury during the team’s recent clash against Luton Town, where he netted a brace.

His absence will notably impact United’s upcoming matches, including Saturday’s home fixture against Fulham and the highly anticipated Manchester Derby scheduled for next weekend.

Following the Fulham encounter, Manchester United is slated to face Nottingham Forest in the fifth round of the FA Cup on Wednesday night, followed by a crucial showdown against the reigning champions at the Etihad Stadium just four days later.
