Manchester City vs. Aston Villa: Confirmed Lineup
After the 0-0 draw to Arsenal last weekend, Manchester City brace themselves for the visit of fellow top 4 racers Aston Villa to the Etihad in a game that holds a lot of weight for both sides and their goals for the 2023/24 campaign.
Though they currently stand 5-points a part albeit with Aston Villa a game ahead, Unai Emery’s side can get themselves to within 2-points distance of Manchester City if they can force out a win tonight at the Etihad.
So far as the current campaign is concerned, Villa remains the only side to have played the Cityzens out of the park at Villa Park and gotten a positive 3-point result out of it. However, the question resides on whether they can manage such feats outside of their comfort park.
Pep Guardiola for sure will have learnt a thing or two on what to do against Aston Villa to avoid slipping up from title contention so early into the end of the season, which makes Manchester City a different animal heading out for the hunt at 8:15 kickoff time.
The 0-0 draw last weekend to Arsenal if anything was just Guardiola trying to play cautious to a North London side who toured Manchester intent on not losing. But this time, whatever team lines up for City tonight will have different goals in mind.
Here goes the Confirmed Lineup for both sides;
