Man Claims To Be A Lost Son Of Governor Sanwo-Olu In Delta
A Nigerian man has triggered reactions after stating that he is certain that Governor Sanwo-Olu is his biological father.
The man, identified as Emmanuel, 27, who base in Delta State claimed that his mother had told him Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is his biological father.
Speaking to reporters at the High Court 2 location in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta, Emmanuel claimed that his mother—who is from the Oleri community in the Udu Local Government Area had told him that before she married another man, for whom she had other children, she had only him for Sanwo-Olu.
“I am 100 percent sure that I am the son of Governor Sanwo-Olu. I just want to see the man, Sir, as my father.” he said.
Emmanuel claimed to newsmen that he works miniature jobs to support his wife and three children and that he hasn’t seen his father ever.
On Tuesday, December 6, when the matter came up for hearing before the court, Emmanuel’s attorney, John Aikpokpo-Martins, also revealed to reporters that the claimant was his client in that case. The Lagos State governor is a defendant in that case.
In Suit No: EHC/148/2022 between Emmanuel Moses Sanwo-Olu and Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the claimant averred that he was the conjugal product of a congenial relationship that existed between his mother, Grace Moses, and the defendant in 1994/95.
In his notice of summons, which was also issued by J. O. Aikpokpo-Martins, Esq., the claimant requests the following from the court:
“A declaration that the defendant is the biological father of the claimant begotten from Madam Grace Moses of Oleri, Delta State.
An order directing and compelling the defendant to acknowledge and accord the claimant all the rights of a son in accordance to all the laws applicable whether customarily, statutorily, or constitutionally.
An order of perpetual injunction restraining the defendant from further denying the parenthood of the claimant.”
