Liverpool Legend tips Tottenham to win the Premier League

Tottenham to win the League next season.

Look away Liverpool and Arsenal fans, a legend has just thrown Liverpool under the bus.

Sports analyst and former Anfield star, Dean Saunders has tipped North London side, Tottenham Hotspur to win next season’s Premier League ahead of Manchester City and his own club.

He backs his statement from the summer activity the Spurs side has carried out in the transfer market, with them having bolstered their squad options far more than any other side.

The London side has added Everton star, Richarlison to its ranks in an attack that boasts of Kulusevski, Harry Kane, Heung Min Son, and Bergwijn.

Although the future of Bergwijn with the Spurs side is unclear as reports keep linking him back to the Eredivisie with Ajax.

Add to that, Tottenham has Yves Bissouma from Brighton already signed up for an initial fee of £25m, with Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster.

The club are due to signing a deal for Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet.

“If Tottenham sign a world-class centre-back and a right-back, they’re in with a chance[of winning the Premier League title]

“Liverpool have just lost Mane! I think Tottenham will be knocking on the door. They’ll be closer to Manchester City!” Saunders said.

The Anfield legend isn’t giving his club a chance next season to compete for the title, which is ironic considering the same was said last season by many pundits who didn’t give the Reds a chance.

Prior to the start of the recently concluded campaign, Chelsea and Manchester United were the sides analyzed to compete for the title alongside Manchester City, with City even guaranteed a win as early as March.

The season quite ended differently with City winning the league in 15 minutes to the final whistle on final match day against a Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa side while Chelsea finished 3rd and United struggled for a top 6 finish.

Although, Saunders’ statement is due to the Antonio Conte factor as the Italian has been able to revitalize teams wherever he goes.

With Conte inspiring Spurs to a top 4 finish despite how they struggled last season, it isn’t hard to see them winning the league. All they need is consistency and a sustained winning run.
