“Leave me let me die!” See video of LASU student who jumped into lagoon
Gabriel, without giving a reason for his action, jumped from the Falomo Bridge into the lagoon around 11 am.
The undergraduate was rescued from drowning by Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA) officials who promptly responded to the situation.
“Leave me alone let me die,” he said as he was being rescued.
“What is in this life?” he asked, crying.
Damilola Emmanuel, the general manager, LASWA, said the act of jumping into the lagoon was becoming rampant on Lagos waterways.
Gabriel was reportedly taken to the Falomo police station after the rescue. See video below.
