Last Chat between Naira Marley and Mohbad surfaces online

A video purported to be the final conversation between the renowned musician Azeez Adeshina Fashola, widely known as Naira Marley, and his late former record label signee, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji, popularly referred to as Mohbad, has surfaced, adding a layer of intrigue to the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s demise.

Tragically, Mohbad passed away on September 12, with his funeral held the following day in Ikorodu, Lagos State.

In the wake of his untimely death, a number of Nigerians have voiced their concerns, some of whom directed blame towards Naira Marley and certain members of Marlian Records, including Sam Larry.

In response to these allegations, Naira Marley took to his Instagram account on Tuesday to issue a statement vehemently distancing himself from any responsibility for Mohbad’s passing.

However, the situation took a new twist on Wednesday when former Presidential aide Reno Omokri shared a video featuring a conversation between Naira Marley and the late Mohbad.

In the video, Naira Marley can be heard saying,

“You said you are not feeling so anymore, but one hour ago you felt like killing yourself and you still surround yourself with the things stressing you.

“The last time you made a video saying if anything happens to you, Naira Marley and the Marlian team should be held responsible, but now you want to kill yourself.”

Mohbad responds with apparent distress, stating,

“I don’t even know how to explain to you right now.”

Naira Marley continues to express concern, asking,

“But one hour ago, you said you felt like killing yourself… If you kill yourself, what do you think people will say after you’ve made a video that I was after your life?”

Mohbad, in a plea for understanding, replies, “Please don’t be angry.”
