Kcee can’t move on after getting dumped – Harrysong’s manager on lawsuit

In the wake of the fundamental human rights suit filed against Harrysong by Kcee, the former’s management have said the latter is “only messing himself the more”.

The ‘Reggae Blues’ singer has been at loggerheads with Kcee since his 2016 departure from Five Star Music.

Speaking with TheCable Lifestyle on Friday, Desmond Ike, Harrysong’s manager, said Kcee is demanding N20m in the suit.

Ike said Kcee is claiming that Harrysong is “trying to malign his public image”.

“Anyone who is trying to hold down the progress of another person is holding down his own progress. Whether they like or not, Harrysong has left them for good. Even if they fight him for 100 years and more, they can’t get him back,” he said.

“He has dumped them in the trash can where they belong. There is nothing they can do to have him, all efforts are futility, he has moved on. Any record label that cannot move on after an artiste dumps them is a failure.

“If somebody leaves you and that person has moved on and you can’t move on, it is you that is the problem. Kcee should tell the world what exactly he wants from Harrysong, if it is what we can afford we will give it to him. In fact, he should continue this fight, he is only messing himself up the more.”

Amidst the controversy, the singer has released a new song entitled ‘Arabanko,’ where he addresses some of the issues in his life.

I born twins, dem jealous me. Internet crash I make more money. Shame de enemies,” he sang in reaction to the phoney pictures he posted on Instagram when his twin babies were recently born.

In an apparent reference to Five Star Music, he sang: I get another sponsor, dey jealous me… I cook food say make you come chop, you use am against me put me for cooking pot. Empty gallon wey I help fill water. Insult upon insolence, I don see… I been no wan talk, dem dey fire me.”

Harrysong was twice arrested last year shortly after he ditched after Five Star to set up his record label Alter Plate.

Soso Soberekon, a former manager at Five Star, is also being sued alongside Harrysong.

In a post on Instagram, Harrysong likened his ordeal to that of a woman “that is gang raped, beaten up mercilessly and asked not to cry“.
